Children's Hour

At this week's Children's Hour, we're taking a nature walk so be prepared!  Remember to wear your walking shoes and don't forget the bug spray and sunscreen!  Join us as we walk the Tomaquag grounds and explore the Arcadia management area identifying indigenous plants and their traditional uses.  Don't worry if it rains, we can still explore nature indoors with our interactive nature kit!

Children's Hour at Tomaquag Museum is a FREE public program held every Wednesday morning from 10:00-11:00am for children of all ages. Each week features a different interactive lesson. Through music, dance, storytelling, crafts and Narragansett language, museum educators focus on Indigenous New England history, culture and art.

Thank you to our sponsors from the Washington Trust Company and Rhode Island State Council for the Arts! For more information, contact us at 401-491-9063 or email slarose@tomaquagmuseum.org.
