Market Information and Requirements:
COST: Vending is FREE for Indigenous artists! Tomaquag does not charge vendors to set up at our events, however this year we are asking each vendor to donate a piece of your work, any item of your choice, to the museum for our fundraisers to help offset costs. We don’t wish to make this a burden to you so regardless of the number of events you participate in for the 2019 season, we only ask for one donated item, but more are appreciated! We leave it to your discretion and thank you for your support.
SPACE: Space is available indoors in pavilion, or in outdoor area surrounding pavilion dependent upon weather. If outdoors, vendor space is relatively unlimited but we have limited tables available so bring your own if you require more than 1. You are also welcome to bring your own tent. If the event must move indoors to the pavilion, space is limited and every vendor will only be allowed 1 table or half table. If you are able to share a table, please specify. For indoor events, we will provide all tables and chairs.
TIME: Set up time starts at 8:00am, must be completely set up no later than 10:00am at the start of the event. You may also schedule to set up tents/tables a day or two in advance but you do so at your own risk, Tomaquag cannot be held responsible for property left on the premises. Please note that arriving early is imperative as we need to be fully set up before guests begin to arrive as there’s limited space for parking and to move around if inside the pavilion. We request that all vendor booths remain open until 2:00pm.
PARKING: Due to limited parking, vehicles must be unloaded and parked by 9:30 am. Do not park around the pavilion. That space is reserved for elders and disabled only. Unless otherwise specified, parking for vendors is located behind the pavilion in the neighbor’s lower field. Drive through the gate and park in the lower field. Please close gate after entering (she has a pig that often gets loose and likes to visit us).
FEATURES: Electricity is not generally available. If you require electricity, please speak to Silvermoon in advance to discuss possible solutions. Vendors are responsible for leaving the vendor area in the condition that it was originally received, i.e. removal of all debris such as boxes and trash.
CONTACT: You will be contacted by email if your application has been accepted. We will send out reminders before every upcoming event. If you decide not to attend, please let us know immediately so we can offer the space to another applicant. For questions, assistance or other information please contact Silvermoon LaRose, Assistant Director at (401) 491-9063 or by email at slarose@tomaquagmuseum.org.
