Create Your own Splint Basket at Tomaquag Museum!
Join us this July for a fun interactive workshop and create your own Splint Basket with Tomaquag Museum Director and Indigenous Artist, Loren Spears. This will be an intimate beginning level class that will take you through the entire process from prepping materials through completion and includes additional instruction on finishing your piece with traditional basket stamp designs, a style unique to the tribes of Southern New England. Class will be held at Tomaquag Museum Tuesday evenings, beginning July 9th through July 30th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Open to ages 18 and up, limited to 10 participants.
